Established by Gustave Doyon
50 years ago, Doyon Equipment Inc.is a family business
of sales and repairs of bakery equipment. It is only in
the mid 70's that the company began manufacturing their
own equipment under Jacques Doyon initiative, son of the
founder. From this moment on, Maurice Doyon joins his brother
Jacques. The company then begins to develop the export
market which became a reality in the 1980's.
At the same time, Doyon Equipment
diversifies the products in order to keep up, to satisfy
the needs and the customer's demands. From the JAOP3 oven,
which can produce 45 baguette pans in 45 minutes to the
JA28 oven which produces 420 per hour, the customer finds
answers to their demands.
Thanks to the creation of a integrated
system of reversible fan for ovens and proofers called
Jet Air, the company stands out from the competitors. Furthermore,
this system will not only help bake more evenly, but it
will also need a minimum of space, it saves energy and
is easy to use.
The new Jet Air technology is recommended
for the food market, offering to its customers goods baked
from frozen products prepared in advance on the premises,
a market in full expansion in the 1970's and 80's.
In addition to selling all different kinds of oven models, the company manufactures
bakery accessories such as; proofers, racks, sheeters, work tables, bread pans,
etc.
In 1990 Doyon Equipment Inc. attacks
the restaurant market with developing a pizza oven using
our Jet Air technology. The big success of our first pizza
oven called PIZ3 encourages the company to continue in
the same line with more powerful models such as PIZ6 and
FC2. Henceforth, the equipment are manufactured in electricity,
natural or propane gas fired, to the customers choice.
In 1991, our enterprise became one
of the rare companies able to sell in the Russian communist
market, with the delivery of 54 integrated bakeries in
Leningrad. In the following five years, we will find Doyon
Equipment products in many countries such as; United States,
Russia, Mexico, France, Germany, Cameron, Egypt, Romania
and South Korea.
In 1992, there is a merger of Doyon
Equipment with Piper Inc, manufacturer of Super Systems
Ovens. In 2001, the association with Piper Inc ends
with the repurchase of Doyon Equipment by Maurice
Doyon. In 2003, the son of Maurice Doyon, Karl Doyon,
joins
as a shareholder of the company and occupies the
post of Sales vice-president.
With the support of
the employees, Doyon Equipment
Inc. remains a leader in the conception of bakery
and restaurant equipment, thanks to the collaboration
of
everyone, as well as the mutual respect between
the employers and the employees. Therefore, it is
not
surprising that the company sells their products
all over the
world in a more and more competitive environment. |
